Leon’s story

Almost 50 years ago there was a man named Martin Luther King.He made a big change in history and civil rights. But before that happened there was a lot of racism in the world. Black people couldn’t vote, get an education, and without getting a good education they couldn’t have a successful life. Leon was living then when life was different. He lived in a farm with his poor family. He could have been beaten and no one would have done anything about it. Leon had a tough life. He had to survive and go through different obstacles so he wouldn’t be sent to jail or beaten to death. One of the best parts was when the white kids threw rocks at Leon. When it all changed at last Leon was happy and shared the story of his life with every one. Was he ever sent to jail? Read the book to find out………
