A Dogs Life is a suspenseful book on a stray dog-named Squirrel that lives with his mother and his brother Bones. One day his mother leaves them in the pitch dark of the night in an abandoned shed. As a result, Squirrel depends on his brother Bones, then one morning his brother decided to leave the shed and Squirrel decides to go with him. Just as Bones was crossing the street a car light shown on him. A car pulled up and a family jumped out. The dad was extremely rude and the daughter was very petite and gentle. As the dad picked Bones up he immediately reacted and started to fuss. They stuffed both of them in the car. While in the car the little child pulls on Squirrel’s hair.
