This is the story of Thirteen-year old Katie whose life is far more superior than she thinks it is when she moves to Missouri with her father. Her mother is dead and she now has to make all new friends while finding a place to fit in. She becomes friends with two girls named Cynthia and Taylor, gets advice from her old best friend Cherylanne, and she gets a crush on a 23 year old guy named Jimmy who works at a gas station. Also in the book Katie and her friend Taylor go to the mall and everything’s on sale because Taylor steals! Whenever she does this Katie gets really scared and she always asks Taylor what she would do if she gets caught? One of my favorite parts was when Cherylanne came for a sleepover. Katie says that as soon as they got to the house they went to the bedroom and shut the door. Katie tells her all of the things that happen to her, like when she had to do some things at the drive in movies and her awful run in with Jimmy’s wife.
