A CHILD CALLED "IT" by David Pelzer

A Child Called “It” by David Pelzer is a very emotional book. It showed how the main character suffered through many problems. He was treated as nothing or nobody and is forced to work for food and attention from his mother. David learned that others seem to have it so good. He constantly gave up, felt defeated and that his prayers were never answered. He thought that God had forgotten about him. He was always stealing food from other students so he could eat. His mother would take all the money he made and he did all that work for nothing. The most shocking part is when he was stabbed by his mother. It was sad but it showed that he was in need of help by someone in his life that he did not have. The worst part of this book is that it’s an autobiography. To find out want happens to him you should read this book.

I liked your blog! This is a good book,I've read it before. Yes it's an emotional book! It's awful just reading about all the horrible thigs Dave's mother did to him,but imagine what things he actually has/had to go through. It's a good book to recommend to anyone, but they shouldn't be very emotional.

Cool Blog. I also read this book. I hate how the mom treated Dave. For example remember when she punched him in the face? That was messed up.

I have also read this book and it is very sad. The part I hate the most is that his mother hits him and his mom forces him to say that he fell off his top bunk. Also I hate that Dave's dad abandoned him.
