GROOVES A KIND OF MYSTERY by Bevin Brockmeier

Are you a mystery fan? If you are, you should read this book called Grooves A Kind of Mystery! This book is about a boy named Dwayne Ruggles who lives with his grandfather, the owner of an antique shop. Dwayne has two main friends named Emily Holmes and Kevin. One day, they go to the Thigpen Complex Factory because they want to learn more about why there is a message printed on the potato chip bags and jeans that says, “He’s stealing the light from our eyes.” At first they didn’t understand it until they met Ned Hajimura. He told the kids about what the Spark Transplantation Machine was, and that it was kept in room 422! He also told them that once in a while Howard would ask a couple of people to attend a meeting in room 422, and when they came out they would act differently. By the way, the section I enjoyed reading the most was when I read that Dwayne Ruggles had the ability to read his finger prints, which helped him reverse the Spark Transplantation Machine and give the light back to people’s eyes! One day when the three children went to the Thigpen Complex Factory they got themselves into some trouble , got caught and were locked in room 423! If you want to find out what happens to the kids and what the Spark Transplantation Machine really does and what "He’s stealing the light from our eyes means," I recommend you read Grooves A Kind of Mystery by Bevin Brockmeier.
